Yes, freedom! I’ve been trying to convince my mom to allow me to do pole dancing when I was in college.. but nooooo! She wouldn’t allow me. She didn’t even approve of my past dance performances where I had to wear short shorts and sports bra. So, sometimes, I had to do performances without her in the audience. Oh well, that’s my family. They are conservative! It came to a point that I had to wear pants whenever I had to ask permission from my Lolo to go out, and then, later replace them with shorts. SNEAKY! Haha! Now that I have a son, I don’t have to prove that I’m a Maria Clara. If you know what I mean! Heehee. So yay! I’m doing pole dancing!
A few days ago, Mommy Ginger sent a message via Facebook, informing us that PoleCats is looking for mom bloggers to try out their new class for moms called “Moms and More!” So, yay! I instantly joined in as it was an opportunity for me to try out something that is not me…. Being sexy. Being hot. Being bold! At first, I was hesitant to wear short shorts as my legs were scarred with my never ending journey with allergies and mosquito bites. But hey, that didn’t stop me from attending this class! Concealer lang katapat niyan!
Another thing! My mom and Marve allowed me to commute! With all the traffic and chaos in Metro Manila, they had to allow me. So it was a very tiring and adventurous day for me. It’s a day to kill my legs!
My get up for the class! Look at my big puson!
AND LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
The class was taught by our ever patient and happy instructor, Christine Dy. She is so nice! And she kept on giving compliments to me, even if I knew I went crazy during the class. I’m so heavy eh! And even if I danced before, I always had a problem with my muscle memory (reminds me to attend yoga classes again!) and hands-feet coordination. So, I literally went crazy during the class. Haha! But thankfully, Christine was very patient! The class was really awesome!
She commanded us to let down my hair. Tied hair is not allowed in the class! Haba ng hair ko!
Oh yes! Kinaya ng pole! Biruin niyo! My thighs were really sore because of this routine!
GUIDELINES or, should I say, TIPS FOR THE CLASS.
1. Clear everything with your OB before you enroll. Especially with Caesarian Section (CS) moms.
2.Wear very short shorts. Yes, the shortest shorts if ever there was one. Better yet, wear a panty. You have to utilize every piece of skin you have on just to have a good grip with the pole.
3. Don’t apply anything in your skin, especially LOTION!!! It’s a mortal sin to put one.
4. Make your hair fabulous. Apply hair serum and don’t forget to add conditioner. Haha! MAKE IT SEXY!
5. Be sure to come to class on time. Just like any dance class, you have to come early to prepare yourself.
6. Last, but not the least, KEEP AN OPEN AND SEXY MIND!
After giving birth to my son Kyle, I had my own experience with hormonal imbalances. I became bitchy and, for the past few months, I have been depressed on how I look. I’ve been struggling with myself because I didn’t like my body now. I felt so fat and scarred as I saw stretch marks, cellulite as well as scars. Also, I already had my own muffin top. You know? That bilbil that hangs around your abdominal area. These are things I’m not used to. In the past, I worked so hard to achieve a great body, even if I ate a lot. It came to a point that I just felt hopeless and wished that I would just feel contented with my body’s present appearance.
After the class, well…. with that one class, I got a little more confident with myself! Enough to make me feel good about my current body and to make me feel motivated to go back to dance classes again! And yes, to try more pole dancing classes! Believe me, this class will make more confident and sexy! It will be so good for your ego and, of course, for your boyfriend or husband! Haha! Of course, you dance for yourself, not for other people.
So come on moms! It’s your time to feel sexy again! Forget your house chores and dance your butts off and do sexy moves on the pole! It’s fun, it’s sexy aannnnnddddd it’s gonna make you happy!
Oh yeah.. Fine.. Oh God, I can’t believe I’m showing you my own embarrassment… TADAAAAA!!! In just an hour, we were able to finish a song with our sexy pole dancing routine. Oh please, don’t laugh too hard. You might fall of your chair!!
